Where To Get Your Green Day Rock Band Export Key For Region 3

Well folks, I just purchased the Green Day Rock Band from Datablitz today so that I can be able to complete the Rock Band Titles that I already have since the time I got the Rock Band Set from Sony Philippines…
But I was so excited that I was not able to notice that there arent any Export Key Insert for my Greenday Rockband as what it was supposed to be like when I bought my Lego Rock Band. Im now having problems trying to export my Green Day Rock Band songs to Rock Band 2 since there arent any export key codes for my Green Day Rock Band.
Apparently the Green Day Rock Band Region 1 (which costs higher) has the export key insert inside the game cd and some even have another code printed separately on the receipt once you buy it but the Green Day Rock Band does not even have one…. Now Im beginning to worry about this…. Why? I have read from one forum that the Green Day Rock Band Region 3 really does not have an Export Key, which means a very big problem as I wont be able to port all the Green Day Songs to my Rock Band 2 game.
Got no help from PinoyPS forum either as most of them has the R1 version of Green Day Rockband.
I havent been able to raise this concern to Datablitz MOA where I purchased the game since its already late in the day… Im gona have to update this post one I do get a chance to solve this problem as I know that there are gonna be other gamers in the future who would also be having problems once they found out that the Green Day Rock Band Region 3 do not have any export key insert inside to enable them to port songs to Rock Band 2.
This Green Day Rock Band is for PS3 by the way, and I do not have the Green Day Rock Band Plus! Version for those who might be thinking that the absence of Export Key code was because it was already a Plus! Version…
so, that’s it for the moment, I think Im gonna have to do some trophy list building for now while I havent been able to port the songs of Green Day to Rock Band 2… Update for this problem a bit later! I already have emailed EA regarding the missing (supposed to be) Insert which contains the Export Key which is similar to Lego Rock Band, and the automatic email response said that I should be getting a Human Response in 24 hours.. Well lets see… I also called Datablitz regarding the matter, and all they did was to get my Contact No. and told me that they would call me Tomorrow for an update regarding the Missing Export Key since their technical support staff is not present as of the moment…. Looks like there would be going to have an Update no. 2 here. so stay tuned!

Latest update here folks! EA Games has already responded to me, and they were apologetic about the missing Green Day Rock Band Export Key. But of course, apologizing for something you paid for is not enough, which means they have to make up for it…. Guess what… They did! Oh yeah! This is the actual response that I have received from them..

Well of course, I concealed the 12 digit code that was given to me in that letter for this posting, and yep I immediately redeemed that code and now I am now capable of exporting the songs from my Green Day Rock Band to Rock Band 2! Yey!
So for those who have also bought the Green Day Rock Band R3 (Region 3) for PS3 that came without any export codes, well I suggest that you also contact EA Games regarding your concerns and Im sure you would get your own 12 Digit Export code in no time!

Yeah I know.. Plain BS, aside from the fact that mahirap din sila i-contact, tagal pa magreply..
Yup tama ka, sila na nga yung bibilhan mo ng export key, ayaw pa..
I also know about some people abusing yung pamimigay ng EA ng codes para mabenta nila ung codes..
Yung iba nman hihingi lng ng code, tapos hihiram nalang sila ng CD para maka-copy din sila ng songs and para ma-DL yung key, so parang bumili lng sila ng Green Day Rock Band for $10..
Malas lng tlga that Datablitz is only selling Region 3 cd’s..
Buti nalang R1 yung Lego Rock Band na nabili ko sa kanila before kaya hndi ako nagkaroon ng problem downloading the export key for me to export the songs to RB2..
Anyway, thanks bro for the info about the shops.. As soon as I get rid of the R3 cd and get my refund, I’ll purchase an R1 cd na para wala ng hassle and better if meron Plus version..
And if you don’t mind, I’ll add you up sa PSN and we can jam together at Rock Band..

Well that’s BS for EA, I think they are just trying to rip you off so that they would not have to deal with your problem anymore…
First of all the 12 Digit code that you needed was for FREE! yep that is right, because that code is THE ONE YOU NEED IN ORDER TO PURCHASE their Export Key… so in simple terms, 12 digiit code is different from the Export key…
Problem with them is that they mostly scan emails and stuff, ganyan din ang nareceive ko response sa kanila through their Chat Support, pero yung email mabuti at maayos naman…
Alam mo yun, sila na nga ang bibilhan mo ng Export Codes ayaw pa nila.. Pure Raw Stupidity….
Anyway Bro, we cant blame them may iba kasi na nag abuse dito after I posted this blogpost… There are other people claiming that they dont have the 12 Digit Code that you need for the Export Key Purchase. And then pag may nakuha sila na 12 Digit code binebenta nila sa ibang Gamers na nakakuha ng Region 3 Green Day Rock Band…. Tapos hati hati pa yung 5 gamers sa isang 12 Digit Code…. Ginagawang business tsktsktsk….
Oh, and regarding your question about the Regiod 1 CD, madami sa Greenhills nyan, but mostly ang recommended na meron nyan is I-Tech / Mr. Dynamics sa Greenhills 3rd Floor.

I also bought mine from Datablitz and I have the same problem. I contacted EA and they are already asking for a copy of my receipt or the back cover of the manual. They also told me that if you own a Region 3 cd, it doesn’t really come with an export key because of licensing stuff reasons. So in short, they told me if you own a Region 3 disc, you won’t be able to export your songs. Therefore, I can’t do anything right now with this. You got lucky because they gave you an export key right away. Anyway I am currently in talks with the head office of Datablitz regarding this issue. I am asking for a refund or I hope they can try to get me an export key or a Region 1 cd because before buying, I asked the branch where I bought the cd if I could export the songs and they told me yes. So I took their word but unfortunately, now I can’t. Anyway, Louis you indicated in your post that there are Region 1 cd’s being sold here which you said is more expensive than the Region 3, where can I buy a Region 1 disc? Thanks.

bro, maybe other people are already trying to exploit this method that is why they told you that they cannot give you a code as they might be getting stricter since some people are selling the Export Keys for those who dont have it…
My suggestion is take a photo of your Green Day Rock Band and make sure that the Region 3 is visible from the photo so that they can tell that you really own a Rock Band 3 Region 3 version.
Also try to include a photo of your receipt to them. But maybe they have already changed policies with this which is why they are telling you to Contact EA UK….
As for me, if you really want to know how I did it, well I just told them through their support section at http://support.ea.com, I never emailed them using a yahoo account, I just opened up a ticket at their support section, and the next day I already received a response, but still the response I got was not interconnected to my problem so I replied through the response ticket and reiterated about the missing Export Key and the next day I got my Green Day Rock Band Export Key…
Maybe they gave me the Green Day Rock Band Export Key in a snap because at the time I contacted them is the first week of release of the Green Day Rockband so its somewhat new and they are still unaware that the Region 3 Version of their game does not include the said Export Key, and since I and some others have already raised the problem, maybe they have already solved the problem by releasing another batch of Green Day Rockband Region 3 with the Export Codes already in it… Just my hunch though…
Try contacting them again through the support section, just open a support ticket there, be sincere and explain the problem clearly as if you are explaining to a kindergarten child and maybe they would understand that what you need is the Export Keys or the 12 Digit keys that you need in order to buy their Export Code which is needed to port the songs from Green Day to RockBand 2.

look at the side edge of the box… you should see a number on the lower part of the side edge of the box to indicate whether it is Region 1, 2, or 3, if it is not on the side edge, it should be located at the back mostly in the lower right portion of the box

How do you tell what region you got? I never got a code but I want to make sure its the right thing before I contact them

Got it from them as well. Tech support was a nice guy, said he’ll check it out for me. Waiting for feedback from them.
Either their supplier forgot to put the insert in the manual (because the manual references it on page 15) or it’s deceptive advertising since no warning about this was ever given.
