Its summertime once again, and its even way hotter at an early time of the year because of the El Nino. Thanks to the hot weather I have finally made up my mind, Im gonna be changing the Tint of my car to a Solar Gard Tint brand…. It’s already colored purple, a sign that I really do need to change tints.

There are many aftermarket tints available, and because of that Automotive tints have been pirated, just like cd’s, specially when you try to go to Banawe, where Car Tints are being sold beside the street. You’ll never miss to see them whenever you stroll along Banawe st from end to end. They do offer tints, but I can guarantee that it wont last longer and you’ll just be wasting money right off the bat…

If it did last long I can guarantee that you would not get the heat or even UV Protection that you should have had in the first place. Which is why I started asking fellow automobile enthusiasts on tsikot.com regarding the best tint that they can recommend, and the top three were

• 3M Tints
• Solar Gard Tints
• V-Kool Tints

Each brand had their pros and cons like for example V-kool is the best tint around, that even a transparent V-Kool shade would give you the best heat and UV protection among all the automotive tints, the only trade off is that its a bit pricey, which costs around 10K PHP and above.

3M is good mostly because of the Brand Name and the heat protection, but since it is Branded with the trademark name 3M, it is the one that is copied the most. So there is a bigger chance that you’d find fake 3M tints.

I have settled for Solar Gard since among the top 3, Solar Gard is the only tint that comes close to the Heat and UV protection, and even privacy to your own car with the price slashed off against the V-Kool Tint. So that means Solar Gard is Cheaper and is also almost as better as V-kool.

So the question is that where to find those accredited shops that carry the Solar Gard tints? Also one thing some call it Solar Guard or even solarguard but its one in the same, just dont mistake it for Sungard or Sunguard as it is a different automotive tint brand.

there are also other shops that carry the Solar Gard Tints… Im gonna have to update on this post whenever I find other shops that also do carry the Solar Gard tint. By the way, I am planning to get the HP Quantum series that Solar Gard has… Im gonna update on this as soon as I have changed my car tint this week.
