Google TV has just been launched, and frankly, Im still quite skeptical as to how this would roll through... I know Google is trying its best to be able to make other ends meet, and this time they would try to do it by fusing the old and the new. I mean, your tv and the internet, thus changing and revolutionizing the way how you watch tv... I might want to try this one out, and no, I do not have a set top box that came from Google which is obviously one of the ways to use Google TV, and I dont even have a HDTV which has Google TV preinstalled with it, and obviously yet again that is the second option that you would need be able to use Google TV... Would that mean I won't be able to try Google TV out? *sigh* oh well... but wait... Fortunately, Google has tied up with Sony and Logitech and that means... tadaa... future products from Sony and Logitech could have the capability to use Google TV! Woot!! Hats off to Google for their donation to the Haiti Ground Support, it would surely help those people who lost their loved ones on the Haiti Earthquake. If you are planning to donate too then just be wary of scam sites that asks for donations and such, Im sure that inspite of this tragedy, there would still be many evil minded freaks who would try to abuse and take advantage of this situation. Unicef and Care are accepting donations for the Haiti earthquake victims so if ever you have something to donate then direct it to them. I think this is also a good time for Big Time Earning Bloggers to donate atleast something from their earnings (to me) to the victims of the Haiti Earthquake tragedy. Adsense for Domains has already been already enabled here in the Philippines, 2 months after it had been enabled and was limited only to US Adsense Publishers. The question is would this be a Good or a Bad news? In my opinion, its a two faced card for the implementation of the Adsense for Domains. The Good Face: It is another stream of income for Adsense Publishers and another way to advertise for Adsense Advertisers. Domainers now have another option to stream their income. Domainers have been using free and paid domain parking services and adding another option such as Adsense for domains is another way for them to expand and experiment. Adsense Publishers have now a way to earn income from their domains while their site is still under construction or whenever their site is down. The Bad Face: In my point of view, I am still not sure if these would affect the quality of search results when a user searches for something. Imagine searching for something and just landing on a page that only displays advertisements. My point is still bound to be proven in due time since Adsense For Domains has just started. Ever since Google Adsense integrated Western Union payments to certain countries, including Philippines, receiving payments had never been so much easy. There are many advantages of using Western Union as your preferred method of payment, but recently there had been some problems with other bloggers who receive payments from Google thru Western Union. Rico of Technogra.ph recently had been hit with the wrath of strictness that some branches of Western Union Philippines has been implementing. Apparently, when getting your payment through Western Union, one of the requirements that you would need to show are 2 valid, government issued ID's. Well there wouldn't be any problem with that but the problem would be if your Payee name on Google Adsense does not exactly match the ones written on your government issued IDs. What a great feeling! Soon as I woke up, I was greeted with two surprises that made me smile, first I checked my email and was surprised to be chosen as one of the 50 bloggers who were given a VIP invite for the awarding of the best "My first Sony experience" blog entry at the SMX Convention Center! Yippee! And then my Dad also told me that there was a mail for me, guess what... My Pin for my Google Adsense already came! I just hope that this problem would not arise again in the near future. If you are having the same problems, then why not try to contact your webhosting provider to whitelist these ip addresses. Damn, its been weeks since the unreachable robots.txt started kicking the hell out of my site. I got lost on Google search engine results, if not then was pulled down to a lower rank. I have already discussed this with my hosting provider once, and it was a breeze, then it came back again, then it isn't easy to fix the problem anymore. If I would have been given the chance to configure the webhosting server, then I'm gonna fix it asap. This error is hurting my site little by little, and I cannot afford that to happen, so as of now, I am already thinking of transferring to another webhost if this problem won't be solved in due time. Im going to give it around a week, it's the third day already, so four more days to go to decide whether to drop the judgment, and transfer. By Friday if this has not been resolved yet, I am gonna be packing things up, ready to transfer to another hosting provider. I can bear the hassle of transferring to another host rather than enduring a slow torture not being able to be crawled by google and not getting indexed in their search ...
