Looking for a paid hosting eh? What are your criterions? Well, when I was starting to look for a paid hosting, I was very picky, in fact it took me a week or two just to decide which paid web host would I apply to.

The first criterion was it must be a local web hosting company, or in other words, a Philippine based web hosting company. That first criterion filtered everything out. Out of hundreds or maybe thousands of web hosting company around the world, everything was focused on into webhosts that were owned and ran by Filipinos.

Or at least I thought so. Even if I filtered everything out, there were still plentiful of Philippine based web hosting companies. So I had to put up another criterion, it should be cheap. Now everything was sorted out and filtered and my choices were narrowed down to a few.

But still that aint enough, there are a few local webhosts on my list that were good, but still there must be something can narrow down the list a little bit more. So I made another criterion. The hosting provider should not have a lot of downtime. Why? Well most of the cheap hosting providers are not that worth being cheap for or which we may call Dirt cheap. So the downtimes now mattered, so I checked the remaining webhosts , they were all the same in terms of my criterion and most of them are balanced by each other. One webhost has something that the other webhost does not have and vice versa.

So what should I do? Well I turned to our good ‘ol friend Google. I searched for reviews and feedback about the webhosts, both good and bad. All the pros and the cons. Then I found out that there are still many things to look out for, one essential thing that should be kept in mind was the hosting support. Are they accommodating? Are they prompt? Are they customer friendly? Or do they do their own thing, to provide hosting and nothing more. Could they only care less? Well, the reviews for those are scattered on forums, blogs, sites, and whatnot. But sooner or later I have got to pick at least one. One reliable hosting provider.

Here are the list of my own Philippine based hosting providers that had the most numbers of thumbs up, rather than thumbs down. This list is on my own opinion, and my own research. If you are under any of these hosts and they are giving you headache, well maybe you are one of those that I just mentioned that were giving a thumbs down rather than thumbs up. But its alright, we cannot avoid that, there is no perfect host provider. All of them have their own pros and cons.

These sites, in my honest opinion, were kind of like finalists on my webhosting choices. Currently I am on eweb.com.ph’s webhosting.

There are other web hosts out there, but if you want to deal with pinoys, then why not try to check out my list, you will appreciate it since you would be dealing with people in your own race, plus you are supporting the fellow Filipino netprenuers out there.

Good luck on finding your good Pinoy web host!

simple, eweb.com.ph is cheap and gives you the option to pay for monthly, quarterly, semi annually and annualy.

while the others only offer you the annual payment as the minimum even if they state that they offer hosting per day, meaning you would still have to pay the whole 12 months just to sign up.

while in eweb, you can have the option to pay for the months that you would only consume.

    cheap, reliable, and effective
