PNB Phising Email

I know when an email is a genuine or a fake one,  most often than not, fake emails circulate as something that is offering something or something that shows itself and informs the recipient of a security information confirmation or whatnot.

Sometimes these phishing emails really do make me smile. Why? well these scammers really do a very good job on making an email look like a genuine one, that an ignorant internet user would easily be decieved by the way the email looks like.

Yesterday I recieved this email that says that it came from the Philippine National Bank and it says that users need to create an emergency password for their PNB accounts. The screenshot of the email below: Click to Enlarge

.

At one look at its subject, I can guarantee that it was already a phising email. Since, I dont have any accounts on Philippine National Bank, ever.

Plus the email address of the sender isn’t that bad to look like a phising email but not good enough to be one.

I can guarantee that this mail could have had phished a couple of users, given that they are not that internet savvy, but for people like me, who spend hours and hours in front of the laptop and online most of the time, these kinds of email would have a hard time to convince us that the mail was a real genuine one.

I mean hey! we have been there and even some of the internet savvy people does a better job than them, so what gives?

This is just a “beware” post. I might be fishing some users looking and researching in Google about this kind of email, making sure that this mail was indeed genuine. If you were that person or individual well then read this. THIS EMAIL WAS A PHISHING EMAIL, dont ever click the link on that mail since it just leads to a Phishing Site.

No! ever, this might look like a reverse psychology, making you more curious, but NO, if you dont want a big headache coming at you.

The only way to get revenge that I can do against these scammers is to make their inbox full of spam mails, I am wishing that “sniffers” would be able to read this > pnb@secure.com.ph yeah that’s right, go email address sniffers and sniff that email address pnb@secure.com.ph

Always be vigilant. I know that there had also been a same incident back years ago, that also concerns Philippine National Bank and these Phising emails and I think they are back again. So Beware.
