My 2011 Christmas Gadget Wishlist

Just in time for Chrismas! actually I was compelled to do this as a response to Yugatech’s What’s your Christmas Gadget Wishlist? post. Here are my Top 5 gadget wishlist which I am sure will not be able to be completed until the year 2012 arrives but still gives me some form of guide on which Gadgets I should focus myself on for the Holiday Season.
Number 1 – A Canon EOS 60D DSLR
Actually, I have already ordered this in mid-November as I spotted this on Amazon on sale, It was priced $100 lower than its Cheapest Price there which is why I ordered right away. I would surely need this as I can foresee a lot of out of town trips in the incoming year of 2012 and I am already due for a good quality camera. This would be my very first camera by the way (doesn’t include smartphones with good quality cameras).
Number 2 – MSI GT780DX Gaming Laptop
This might change as time goes by but as for the moment this makes my Christmas Gadget Wishlist as I do want an upgrade for my MSI EX460 which has already served me well for the past 2 years. Actually the MSI EX460 is still running like its new, I just need the updated specs the MSI GT780 Gaming Laptop provides which is of course not just good for gaming, but also useful for HD Video Processing which I might be doing once I get my Canon EOS 60D. Running either a Core i5 or Core i7 processor with a huge 17.3 inch display, GeForce GTX 570M Discrete graphic card, 32GB Max RAM, 1 HDD Slot and 1SSD Slot and a Keyboard made by SteelSeries with LED Backlight, it would beat any kind of gaming laptop that I have seen for a while.
Number 3 – Motorola XOOM
I dunno, but I feel like the Motorola XOOM would satisfy my hunger for tablets rather than the overrated iPad2. I wasn’t an Apple fan anyway which is part of the reason why. But this tablet hunger would be satisfied maybe sometime in the 2nd half of 2012 since I can foresee a lot of newer tablets to be released on the market by next year so I don’t need to jump on the tablet bandwagon as of yet.
Number 4 – Core i5 / i7 Desktop

Actually I need to build the rig myself, its one of those things that a Geek should have done at least once and its one of the things that I have been contemplating to do myself. Sometime next year I might be able to complete this task as I try to purchase different computer components every month.
Number 5 – 1TB Western Digital My Passport Essential SE
I know cloud computing is already the way to go, but for the time that I really need to backup my files faster a big external / Portable Hard Disk Drive is something that I can use. There was a sale of Western Digital My Passport Essential SE a few months ago at Western Digital Concept Store at SM North but I did not bite into it as the budget at that time was a bit tight.
So that is just about it, my Christmas wishlist for 2011. What about you? What items you wish to buy yourself or you would want to get as a gift this holiday season?
