Of all the things that I have stopped doing for a while, watching House MD series is one of them. The last episode that I have watched was around halfway of Season 3. I can barely remember the events that have happened back then, but I am sure that House is still with his old team trio Eric Foreman, Allison Cameron and Robert Chase.

I think I’m gonna be watching the series again in a few days time. I miss the team House.

As far as I can remember, the reason why I stopped watching House MD was that because of the lack of episodes of the 3^rd season of House MD had. Incomplete because I watch House MD on DVD, well it came from Quiapo and the 3^rd season back then is still on production that is why the only episodes on the DVD was only halfway thru. Then there came the Writer’s protest on US, so all of the shows there came to a halt including house.

That is why, there were some delays on the production of episodes and my enthusiasm to watch House also came to a halt.

But as of now, I am still stuck on the 8^th episode of Season 3 of House and I think I am gonna continue watching it in a couple of days, currently House is airing episodes of season 5, the latest is “Lucky 13″ on October 21, 2008 (today) and “Joy” on October 28, 2008 episodes 4 and 5 respectively for the month of October.

I have been an avid fan of House MD, and I never looked back. I tried to watch a few episodes of Grey’s Anatomy, but as the story goes on Grey’s Anatomy, I somehow disliked the way the story has gone.

Grey’s Anatomy is a Drama Series and Situational Setting about relationships, hardships, and whatnot that you may experience in the medical field, which in my case I did not like. Much similar to E.R. than House.

House MD is focused on relationships, action, sarcasm and pure ingenuity. Now this is what I like More Action Less Drama.

I can learn many things in House MD that is related to my profession since in every episode they tackle different kinds of illnesses and diseases while handling personal issues and a little bit of sarcasm to spice it all up, rather than having personal issues and experiences on the medical field setting rather than the in-depth focus on the disease or illness that they confronting.

I was also a little bit surprised though back then on my college days when my batchmates knew more of Grey rather than House. Then I realized that these classmates and batchmates I am with are people who loves drama rather than pure action and ingenuity. Haven’t they got enough of the drama that the local teleserye’s have been feeding them every night?

Some of the unforgettable episodes that I have watched are those with high controversial content like the “House VS God” Episode 19 season 2, wherein Religion and Science collide, of course House wouldn’t care less and still get away with it when he had a patient who is a faith healer that got sick with a sexually transmitted disease. House said that the faith healer is a liar himself and the cause of the illness of the faith healer was nothing more than a sexually transmitted disease, wherein on the other hand, the faith healer said that it is the Lord that gave him the illness as a test of faith.

Because of this, I realized that I still have faith in the Lord of course but somehow in a certain way, my faith isn’t shattered, it’s just that I need to be open minded when the situation comes between Science and Religion.

Some of my favorite quotes from this controversial episode are:

“You talk to God, you’re religious. God talks to you, you’re psychotic”

“Faith – that’s another word for ignorance, isn’t it? I never understood how people could be so proud of believing in something they have no proof of at all. Like that’s an achievement.”

Boyd: God’s asking for our trust. You can’t love somebody and not trust them.

House: Trust has to be earned. You can’t trust someone hiding in a closet.

So aspirin and hospitals are OK. That’s an interesting attitude for someone who’s keep any number of people from getting medical help.

Simply Put

I am a fan of House and I won’t get fed up watching the House series over and over again. I even have had a previous post of Benefits of cigarette smoking with a House MD Video on it. Sorry to Grey’s Anatomy fans but my choice goes to Greg House MD.
