I encountered this Lego Rock band Problem when I was trying to download the Lego Rockband Export Key so that I can transfer songs from the Lego Rock Band Game to my Rock Band 2 Game (and nope not on my Beatles Rockband since it is a separate Rockband Title) I was successful in downloading the Lego Rockband Export Key since it was just around a few KB and thats all, but when I tried to install it I immediately encountered the Error 80711008 which frustrated me for a bit, but soon I was able to find out how to fix it in a matter of minutes…

Here’s the Error 80711008 Solution

All you need to do was to exit the installation procedure since it was already downloaded, which means that it is readily available on your completed downloads list right in the Network Tab, and then just install it from there just like you are installing an application or an add on. Simple as that and you would be able to download the Lego Rock Band Export Pack which is aroung 1.2GB of songs that you can be able to use on your future Rock Band Titles.

Im sure that it wont be just me who would encounter the Error 80711008 so I am writing this quick fix solution since I was not able to find the same solution that can solve the Lego Rock Band Error 80711008. All I saw were Xbox problems with a different error code but in the same game.

There you go, now you would not have to worry about the Lego Rock Band PS3 Error 80711008 anymore! Cheers!

Here’s a rundown on how you should do this Lego Rock Band Export thing (note: this is for PS3).

1. Purchase the Game as it has the Export Code insert with it inside.

2. Go to www.rockband.com/lego-export and enter your 16 character digit code there and press submit.

3. You should now have the 12 character key that you can claim through Redeem Codes section on your XMB.

4. After you redeem the 12 Character key, you would be prompted to download the Export Key which is a few hundreds of kb or so.

5. After you downloaded the Export Key, install it as if you are installing it as a DLC.

6. Once installed, you can now load up the Lego Rock Band Disc. Go to the main Menu of Lego Rock Band and choose Music Store

7. From Music Store, choose Export Download

8. If you did steps 1-5 correctly then you should be able to see one downloadable content on the Export Download Section which is the Export Pack which is around 1.2GB

9. After downloading the Export Pack you can now install it through your XMB just like any other DLC.

10, After installation you are now ready to Play the Lego Rock Band Songs on other Rock Band titles!
