Itching For Another Internet Connection

Been using Globe Wireless Broadband for almost a year already, and sad to say but I am not getting that much satisfied with their Internet service that is why I am itching for another ISP provider.
I’m not saying that I would have my Globe Wireless Broadband terminated by next month or so since I am already out of their lock-in period by August 2009. I am still satisfied with it, but not that much anymore and there’s a couple of reasons why.
My brother has been into Online Gaming (Cabal Online) most of the time, another brother is into torrent downloading (not just one file, but a couple, and I mean “a couple”), then my sister streams on Youtube Videos with not just one but a handful (and I mean a handful) and then here I come, using the internet for blogging and doing stuffs online.
So who’s on the losing end? Of course I am (hahaha), since I am just browsing and blogging most of the time which does not consume or use that much internet connection compared to them, plus for the fact that we are only on the 512kbps Plan of Globe Wireless Broadband, all shared under one Broadband Router.
I just thought that this might be the right time, but which internet service provider should I get? I have already scouted some ISP’s available and here’s what I have found just yet.
PLDT MyDSL – is still not serviceable in our area.
Globe Broadband (Wired) – Same with PLDT MyDSL, our place is still not serviceable.
Smart Bro – Well, similar to my current Globe Wireless, and since I wont disconnect my Globe Wireless just yet, I prefer a wired internet connection so Smart Bro is out of the question.
Eastern Telecom – Their great but they only cater Small – Medium Enterprises, in other words, No Residential Plans just yet, I first tried their connection when I attended the iBlog 5.
Philcom – Haha, Fast Internet Connection, thanks to SM Stress Testing Events, which also means only handpicked areas are serviceable by them.
Sun Broadband Wireless – This is a contender for me, I have heard of positive feedbacks, plus they’re cheap by the way, 799 PHP for 2Mbps, but I would need a Router which has a usb port for the Sun Broadband sharing capability, which is also available at Sun Cellular for 2,500 to 3,500 php which is pricey. Another, con is that its still limited to Manila only.
SkyBroadband – is also on my list since they are one of the ISP’s that provide the wired internet connection which is available on our place. The only con with skybroadband is that they are filtering torrent downloads which makes a 100++ kbps of download from other ISP’s torrent download, only a 20-40+ download speed on skybroadband.
Bayan DSL – Hello Lola Techie! Well, their plans are still the same as far as I can remember around year 2007. I think they got Manila covered by their DSL plans. But I still have got feedbacks to read before I can consider BayanDSL.
IP Star Satellite Internet – Heard of this? Tried this? I guess only a few, tempting though, but their packages and plans are not listed on their sites. By the way IP Star is the international seller of Satellite Internet, if you want to deal with them you would have to talk to the Philippine resellers which are TNR Telecoms or We are IT., inc.
Those were my selected ISP Providers, do you know or recommend any other ISP that I haven’t mentioned?
Help me, I am itching for an additional Internet Service Provider.
