Nice one!, I got this at the tsikot.com’s goon squad section. This just made me burst into laughter, I was wondering if this would happen here in our country specially in the busy streets of manila…
I will laugh at the MMDA or other authorities if this would have happened to them.
Actually, I already have experienced my car being towed. It was around October 2007 then, when I was at the peak of my review for my nursing licensure exam at the Pentagon Review Center, but the venue was at the UE Auditorium.
I parked right infront of UE along recto, and to my surprise, our reviewer, Sir Jerome Balisnomo aka Goldie just announced that a car was being towed. He described it and then announced the plate number. I literally jumped off my chair to chase the MTPB who towed my car.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find anything but a letter with a map on where to redeem my precious car.
My day was devastated then, I was in the mood for reviewing but was distracted because of what the MTPB did.
When I arrived at their office, I was damn mad about what they did, all they told me was it was a tow-away zone.
They were asking for 1,500 PHP as a bail out payment for my car, but of course I did not gave in, called my uncle, and everything was fixed in a matter of minutes. They apologized to me and never got anything from me, in fact they even gave me 500 PHP for my gasoline on my way back.
Oh, and guess what, after I came back to the review center I was again dismayed, I can’t get any parking spaces anymore. why? the whole stretch of recto was full of cars parked on the sidewalk.. tsktsktsk, I thought they said it was a tow-away zone.
Dumb MTPB!
