I have recieved a question from 1 visitor regarding the problem about the Image Compression that the Globe Wireless Broadband users are experiencing.

There is a quick solution for this image compression problem. All you have to do is to tweak your DNS settings on your ZTE MF600 modem.

Firstly though, what causes the image compression on Globe wireless broadband users?

Well, one main reason for it was that Globe’s Domain Name Servers are all cached up to recycle the imaged that a certain user have visited to be able to conserve bandwidth and loading time.

So in other words, you get to experience faster loading pages but in exchange to blurry images, or pixelated images on your browser.

Changing your DNS settings on your ZTE Modem somehow solves this.

Also do not forget to clear up your cache on your browser tools and settings just to make sure that there are no saved images on your browser.

Alternatively, if you do not want to clear up your browsers cache, you can either press:

Shift + F5 – Internet Explorer users

Ctrl + F5 – Mozilla Firefox users

Ctrl + R – Opera Users

to be able to refresh the images that have been cached on your browsers.

Hope this helps!

    Mike,

Nice. Good thing I’m using BayanDSL. I won’t settle for pixelized pr0n. Hahaha… I guess the setting Globe uses to provide their Broadband service doesn’t help much. The people out there are paying good price and they obviously (SHOULD) deserve a good service. Not this second-hand, or third, or so-hand whatever piece of recycled pixelized pic of my fave chick.

    Hi James!

I found out the article about the Image compression…

O yeah! The DNS settings helped me with regards to the image compression problems.

But what i did was, Instead of putting the DNS settings in the modem, I changed it in the LAN. Uhmm kinda better as for now compared to the settings I did in the modem. I’ll just update you whenever there are changes.

    Thanks

I hate Globe Broadband! Why compress an image and make the users suffer from blurry images when they can improve their services and speed up their connection? Good thing I switched to PLDT….

I’m really pissed off right now. I am using Globe visibility for a year now and in order to solve the image compression problem, I just change my default user agent to Blaze 4.0 or Hello/4.0. But now, this trick doesn’t work anymore! We’re paying and this is what we get in return? I HATE GLOBE! I HATE COMPRESSED IMAGES!
