Finally after months and months of enduring the dreaded Globe Wireless Broadband’s IP Addresses, they are now showing signs of expansion, from the additional new IP’s last 2 months, there were now again 2 new IP’s added these week.
The 2 new IP addresses were 120.28.8.17 and 120.28.8.19, good to know that they are now already expanding their Proxy server sided IP address with newer ones since there have been many new Globe Wireless broadband users who were choking out on their congested old IP Addresses.
Thanks to Rayven, one of the active visitors here in my blog for the heads up, and as of the moment the latest update that I heard from rayven was there was another new IP address that has been implemented (120.28.8.17)
He was asking for feedback regarding the new IP address but unfortunately, I stil havent got the chance to get that certain IP address, but for the other IP address (120.28.8.19) I was able to benchmark it with the speeds more than the plan the wireless broadband users have signed up for.
The speeds that I was able to get are as follows:

and my feedback regarding this connection is that it has a decent to good enough speed which is much more similar to other Globe IP address that has already been implemented way back before.
No problems downloading through torrents since I get a decent speed of up to 65kbps of torrent speed downloads.
I don’t know if that is fast enough for downloading, but I am satisfied with that speed considering the wireless connection that I already have.
I’m gonna be making another feedback for the other new IP address as soon as I get it so stay tuned.
What about you? are you satisified with the speeds that the new IP address that Globe wireless broadband has implemented recently?

hi, just came accross ur website, and already got a lot of help. i just wonder if u hav some hacks for globe’s huawei e160e modem. it’s speed in my site (benguet) is crappy too. am using ubuntu 8.10. tnx! ur very helpful

based on my experience..all of them are turtle speed IPs..
pero ang maganda ngaun sa Globe..infairness tuloy tuloy na ang connection ngaun hindi katulad dati..Kaya pede na pag chagaan kung surfing lang ang gagawin..hehe..

papaano ko po ba mapapabilisan ang Globe broadband connection ko… im in the 950 plan @512kps.. modem ZTE MF600…
average download spped ko 20kbps using Internet download manager… average dl speed ng utorrent 15kbps… i really need your help sir.. tnx

tanong ko lang squillz kung ave. download speed mo 20kbps(kilobits per sec.) o 20kBps(kilobytes per sec.)
kac kpg 20kbps yan eh lumalabas na 2.5kBps lang yan.
kpg 20kBps eh equivalent to 160kbps.
ask me why? it is bcoz 1byte(B) = 8bits(b).
take note of the big B and small b!!!!

pwede ko bang gamitin ang mga IP address nayan? im on globe 512 kbps wireless plan pero wala pang 100kbps ang speed na nakukuha ko… papano ko gagamitin ang mga mga bagong IP address?
Nag try akong magpalit ng IP address by using Proxy server, pero hindi ko alam kung ano ang ilalagay ko dun sa SUBNET MAST, DEFAULT GATEWAY, PREFERRED DNS SERVER and sa ALTERNATE DNS SERVER
