Planning to purchase a Globe Broadband Tattoo? Well I guess you are since you landed in this blog post of mine. You may be thinking right now and weighing things comparatively. Would Globe Broadband Tattoo suit me and my internet needs? Would Globe Broadband Tattoo disappoint me and make me ditch their service and use another mobile internet service?
Well if you are thinking like that, you’re not alone. I am also planning to buy a Globe Broadband Tattoo. The Black or the Blue one. Lol, as if the color affects the speed of the Globe Broadband Tattoo. But certainly its in my list of must haves, and there are a couple of things that came into mind while I was thinking and weighing things. And it looks like my brain is now more bigger than my arm muscles since it has already done a lot more weightlifting than that of my arm.
I have sorted out some of Globe Broadband Tattoo Advantages and Disadvantages or in short its Pros and Cons.
Here are some, and by the way this is just my opinion, if you have something to add to the advantage and disadvantages then just comment it right away.

Globe Broadband Tattoo Disadvantages
- Fast?
- Relies on 3G Signal, look at your Globe 3G powered mobile phone. If its signal bar show the 3G sign then your Globe Broadband Tattoo has a good chance of better connection.
- Relies on Location
- HSDPA Powered internet has high Download capacity but very low Upload capacity (less than a hundred).
- Globe Broadband Tattoo has a chance of being stolen
You may noticed that I have put a “?” mark on the word “Fast” it is because I have yet to try the Globe Broadband Tattoo, the rest of the advantages and disadvantages are purely my opinion and are somehow expected.
What about you, have you already used this rebranded product of Globe? What are you experience on you Globe Broadband Tattoo?

no complains for other but i do… i’ve got 1-2 bars of signal on the tattoo… download stats show 250-950 kbps and at times 50-200kbps… not bad really but it just shows the download speed. images that are loaded are pixelated… animated gif buttons will load but after notifying you that you have to wait 2-3seconds. will still load pixelated images. having a hard time to load google.com (which is just all text) and for my experience last night… I shared a load for 100bucks… so total of 5hrs, right? NOT!!! i was browsing network errors for 1 1/2 hour coz my download speed won’t even get out of 0.00kbps. it was like stuck there.
but all in all… it’s better than nothing. wish I settled for smart though… or SUN for that matter. nuff said!

waste of money. they charge P5 per 15 minutes; your P5 can only get you 70kb/15 minutes. on rare occasions you can get speeds up to 1-2 mbps but that only comes in bursts of 10-15 minutes, after those precious fifteen is a very long lull.

to get even with globe, simply download and insall cproxy application.
it’s a web accelerator application that can allow you to access the internet even with ZERO load balance on your globe visiblity/tattoo modems.
just search google using “cproxy” as your keyword and be one of us who now enjoy unlimited internet access with 0 load

I just bought one but I can’t even use it. I am receiving an error “Can’t connect before register a network”. was able to connect once but its losing its connection. I wonder if you guys can help me with it.

yes, sobrang bilis — sobrang bilis makaubos ng load dahil tuloy andar ng metro kahit 0 (yes zero) speed lagi kahit hsdpa nakalagay. halos every minute dc. di masusurf ang buong globe (universe pa kaya) kahit ubos oras mo sa kaka-connect at kaka-refresh. back to zero lagi. ayos di ba? unproductive. kaya balik dial-up ako kaya nakapost pa ako dito.

Hi, do you happen to know if Globe Broadband Tattoo works with router? i have 4 computers at home and router is my way of connecting all 4 to the internet. presently i have a wireless Globe broadband connection of 512Kbps and i tell you i’m enduring the most painful connection ever of only 30Kbps ugh! can’t even open an email.
i am now scouting any possible alternative to this snail-paced wireless Globe broadband connection of mine and considering Globe Broadband Tattoo–if router connection is possible with it. do you have any idea?

those complainig of low signal/ speed concerns, you shud have checked your 3g signal before buying, duh. responsibility, people.
3G cannot be controlled because altho it shud be the same everywhere, blockages (bldgs, etc) around your area may hamper your signal.
if u ask me, tattoo works well. they just had a recent upgrade daw kaya pala so fast.
im in ortigas and we have 2 mbps here. =P

Well i have tried using globe tatoo and believe me, it is very slow and very unreliable. They say it depends on the site but hello? I used it in the middle of a city and still there was no sufficient coverage!!! Smart bro is much better than tattoo. My friends have it and so far the services of smart are very satisfactory..Smart really has the right to claim that its broadband service is fast and reliable. Wag niyo tong gamitin ang tattoo. Appearance at style lang ang maganda nito. As we all know, Looks can be deceiving…!!!!!

duh…don’t say anything about globe..i’ve been using it for almost 1 year and it really helps me a lot…maybe it doesn’t work for you cuz your signals are low or something..basta dito sa lugar namin malakas signal at mabilis ang internet…natalo pa nga ung ibang mga internet cafes dito sa amin sa pagdodownload…

(Sorry if this is an old post – but it still shows up in google search and I think people should be able to make intelligent choices, specially dito sa Pinas na parang walang gaanong matinong internet)
When it comes to the “portable” internet USB dongles(?), it really depends on your location, money, and needs. haha
For example, Sun postpaid is quite fast in Novaliches, near SM Fairview and in UPD, near Quezon Circle. I think that it’s signal is focused in Metro Manila. So if you’re an urban-y person who needs a reliable net connection (or need internet fix everyday), you should try sun’s postpaid plan (lalo na kung meron kang linya ng sun na cellphone). Kasi masusulit mo yung ~650 a month.
Kung occasional-accidental internet user ka naman. Yung tipong, napapadpad ka sa probinsya and kailangan mo ng maaasahang net connection, try mo yung smart bro and globe tattoo.
Comment lang sa smart vs globe, from my experience (I’ve tried both networks + sun eh), yung smart, mabilis lang siya 2 years ago, pero since ang dami na sobrang gumagamit, feeling ko bumagal na yung service. Kahit malakas yung signal, mabagal na yung net. Plus it charges every 30 minutes. So you need at least 10 pesos to connect.
Yung globe tattoo ang latest na na-try ko and so far, mas mabilis siya. Plus mas reliable yung connection niya. (I mean, kapag mataas yung signal, mabilis talaga yung connection. Unlike smart na maraming bars yung signal pero hindi naman makapagnet…) Plus globe charges in 15-minute increments. So kung purita ka na talaga at 5 pesos na lang ang pera mo, makakapag-net ka pa rin in case of emergencies! haha
Yun lang. In conclusion,
kung mayaman-yaman ka naman at madalas gumamit ng net within metro manila, try mo yung postpaid ng sun (fixed rate, 600-700 yata per month pero unlimited na)
Kung meron ka namang net sa office/bahay and kailangan mo lang ng occasional forays into “liblib” na places, try smart/globe, since mas sure kang may signal sila outside metro manila. Personally, I go for globe tattoo na. =D

c’mon…having trouble which one should I go for. It seemed that tattoo relies on site/location while I’d like to believe that Smart had downgraded the connection since there are more Smart Bro users in the Phils. compared to Tattoo.
Baka naman pag plug ko ng Tattoo e ma-experience ko rin yung 0 result while online kasi yung Globe GSM ko nga lang naaabutan ko completely walang signal sa loob ng kwarto ko so baka ganun din kung internet connection mana.
Yung niece ko naman, although Smart Bro (antennae), nag bilis daw ng connection pag madaling araw lang. Kumusta naman? I dunno still which one should I purchase

no..dito samin ang bilis ng globe …naka unlisurf nga ako eh..ang bilis tlg..umaabot ng 1k kbps…kaso ang prob lang minsan nag didisconnect ewan kung bakit ..parang ewan nga ehh..taz minsan mahirap iconnect..but overall mabilis tlg maganda performance unike sa smartbro..may alam ba kau panu ma openline ang smarbro usb? kasi bumili ako smartbro ang bagal taz hiniram ko globe tattoo ng kaibigan ko..ang bilis…anybody can help me pls? tnx n advance ^^

the best pa rin ang smartbro… would you believe na ang download speed ko sa madaling araw hanggang 10am e 350kbps..other time of the day e 250kbps…
speedtest ko ay naglalaro sa 2.17 – 2.31 MB… guess what 2 bars lng yan HSDPA d2 sa probinsya.. what more kung nasa manila ako.. so i’ll stick sa smartbro..

GRabe sobrang nabwesit ako jan sa globe tattoo na yan! Kung pwede lang sanang isauli tong walang kwentang tatoo na to! Nakakapagkonek ako at full bar HSDPA ang signal pero WALANG INTERNET as in wala wala wala! Kung wala sa internet dapat di na lang ako pinagkonek sa network para di ako macharge. Bwesit talaga! Naubos ang load ko ng di ko man lang natikman!!!

Ganyan talaga ang GLOBE tabbo este tatto..ang mahal mahal na ng USB nila ang bagal pa ng connection….kaloka….! Yung kapit bahay namin gumamit pa ng takip ng arenola at kaldero para lumakas yung signal ng tatto nya…..

same problem 2 me, ol i cn say is pota bumili me ng gamit na gagalit skin ng husto. fuck you tattoo ambilis bilis bilis tlaga grabe! pumatak ang metro. walang kwenta tlga d2 sa pilipinas wla quality check tlaga labas lng ng labas. aw! sori ndamay p pinas dhil sa tattoo na yan. lami mgawa balik ul8 sa broadband antena.

WOW GLOBE MAY BANDWITH CAP SA TATTO PREPAID. WAG PALOKO SA GANID NA GLOBE. i already disposed my GLOBE BROADBAND TATTOO PREPAID. I hate this service more than ever. Very deceiving promo on its SUPER SURF 50 for one day. actually, it is not unlimited. once you reach 800 MB, GLOBE will automatically stop internet connection.. don’t be deceived. sobrang ganid sila.now im using SMART.

PS NOTE WALA PANG 5 HOURS AKO NAG SURF NA REACH KO NA RAW ANG 800 MB SO THEY HAVE TO TERMINATE MAY INTERNET SERVICE. im so upset with this f*** internet provider. so dont use their prepaid broadband. dedma customer service nila. when i complain and register once for the 50 pesos unlisurf, i cant connect for one day and globe did not refund. switch to SMART. smart lang ang matinong 3g provider so far but im not sure in some areas.

f*ck! i just had my internet connected. globelines wimax..they connected the internet on the day of cutoff of billing..feb 05 2011,and in a span of one day, i’m obliged to pay for the january 6-feb 5 2011 bill..why is this so??
why didn’t the globe representative tell us that the day we are scheduled to connect internet was the day of cut.off for billing..we should have connected it the following day instead..what can i do about this??
should i pay for the whole month bill even if i was just connected for one day(on the cutoff day)??

damn na globe tattoo ito sobrang nakakadisappoint sobrang bagal pawala wala ang connection sa kabila ng mga magagandang tv adverstisement ng globe tattoo ganun din sya kapanget kung pwede lang ibalik itong usb ng globe tattoo matagal ko na sanang isinauli ito sa globe…ang daming aberya lalo na sa connection nakakabwisit gamitin….everyday na lng may problema..

just bought tattoo for 1,245 with free 125 internet hrs and 2,000 txts. ba’t ganun pang Globe to Globe lang ba ang text, laging fail send pag Smart! grrrr. tapos di maka connect sa gabi, ano kaya yun! Here in Novaliches ang hina ng signal…hanggang one to two bars lang lagi sa signal strength,hay naku, buhay…parang life.

Most of you guys who have commented in here are unsatisfied globe tattoo users and i can see a lot of frustrations or regrets for taking Globe tattoo as your internet provider but the thing is there appears to be always unsavory remarks coming from end users like us.I think in my opinion Globe has no problem per se with its connection coz i’m always getting 3g or hspda signal here in Laguna.Like many previous threads i have read before,Globe signal is often dependent on the location and how near or close you are from the network’s base station just like in my case where Globe cellsite is like 2 kms away from my residence so im getting consistent hspda signal most of the time.I also have learned to explore how can i be able to use my tattoo for free even i’m on a zero prepaid balance,and i’ve been so successful getting free internet since then.Now I no longer have problems with tattoo because i get to connect to the net whenever or whereevr i want it.you just have to lurk around and never forget to ask mr. google for every bit of information you need to know about free internet on the web.Just never stop asking question just like what albert eistien said.Good luck folks!
