CDR King – Encore Wireless Router Review

Its been 2 months since I have purchased and used the Encore Wireless Router G (ENHWI-G2) from CDR – King. So far so good, no hints of impending problem at all. Sometimes the router is on round the clock, and it still works at its peak, no drop connections and whatnot.
In my opinion the range of the Encore Wireless Router G‘s signal is around 30 meters here at my place using its bundled 2dBi dipole antenna along with wall and room interferences.
I personally think that this router can still increase its capabilities if I would opt to replace its antenna with a longer one, also available on cdr – king or by using the Windsurfer Wifi – Booster.
As for me, I really got a bang for the buck by getting this wireless router from cdr – king. I got this Wireless G router for a whopping 1,380.00 PHP. Cheapest so far compared to other branded wireless routers such as D-Link and Linksys to name a few.
The only thing that can differentiate this router against the top brands is when it comes to quality. I am yet to find out if the quality of this router can be at par with the top networking hardware brands out there.
But for my opinion, I think this Encore Wireless Router G (ENHWI-G2) could go against the top brands since Encore itself is focused on networking products.
Please bear in mind that Encore is just being resold by CDR – King and is not manufactured by CDR – King itself. Matter of fact, CDR – King has its own version of Wireless Routers at a much cheaper prices ranging from 600.00 – 800.00 PHP
My verdict for this product – Bang for the Buck

SIR james….MEDIA DISCONNECTED na ang problem ko…everytime na check ko ung IPCONFIG ng laptop ko eh lumalbs ung MEDIA STATE….MEDIA DISCONNECTED…

sir i have a question, b4 i having a difficulties of using this…every time i unplugged the internet connection and connect it through this router..my connection is TIMED out…for short no connection has been occur…
so ive tried to read the ADOBE instruction manual and follow the details their….I used DCHP instead of STATIC IP eventhough i really dont know the difference between them…
after saving all the details…and reboot my desktop…I finally have the grasp of using my INTERNET using this router…
NOW here comes PROBLEM…I cant connect it through my LAPTOP WIFI…my LAPTOP cant sense any SSID in its area/range….
I DONT have any idea wat HAppen..PLZ do help me?thnx…

no puns intended … but i’d rather get a second hand well-branded router instead. like now sa tipidpc somebody is selling his netgear rangemax N model 2000(i forgot the whole model number but it ends in 2000) for php 2K …. added premium to pay for peace of mind

hello james. pano ko e configure ang encore router enrtr-104 sa globe wired broadband?. ano gamitin ko ppoe, dynamic,etc?… hindi ako maka connect sa internet pag mag router ako?.. pls help… thanks

HI james i have a problem, pag gamit ko ang router (ENCORE ENHWI-G2 Router)
hindi maka connect sa internet, pero pag direct sa pc ko mismo nakaka gamit naman ako net may problema kaya ang router ko? at hindi ko din ma acess ang router config page ko kahit 192.168.1.1 ay ayaw pa din any help would be appreciated. thanks!

does anybody here knows how to port forward this router?
cause when i use bitcomet, the listen port is blocked,and my download speed is insanely slow..
i’ve already try some instructions on the net, but it all fails…
so bad….

can you help me with my encore wireless broadband router coz i cant connect my pc using FAST ETHERNET SWITCH HUB, i dont what configuration i should use…. can you show me how to do it step by step… thanks a lot jamez.. GOd bless
