Its been 2 months since I have purchased and used the Encore Wireless Router G (ENHWI-G2) from CDR – King. So far so good, no hints of impending problem at all. Sometimes the router is on round the clock, and it still works at its peak, no drop connections and whatnot.
In my opinion the range of the Encore Wireless Router G‘s signal is around 30 meters here at my place using its bundled 2dBi dipole antenna along with wall and room interferences.
I personally think that this router can still increase its capabilities if I would opt to replace its antenna with a longer one, also available on cdr – king or by using the Windsurfer Wifi – Booster.
As for me, I really got a bang for the buck by getting this wireless router from cdr – king. I got this Wireless G router for a whopping 1,380.00 PHP. Cheapest so far compared to other branded wireless routers such as D-Link and Linksys to name a few.
The only thing that can differentiate this router against the top brands is when it comes to quality. I am yet to find out if the quality of this router can be at par with the top networking hardware brands out there.
But for my opinion, I think this Encore Wireless Router G (ENHWI-G2) could go against the top brands since Encore itself is focused on networking products.
Please bear in mind that Encore is just being resold by CDR – King and is not manufactured by CDR – King itself. Matter of fact, CDR – King has its own version of Wireless Routers at a much cheaper prices ranging from 600.00 – 800.00 PHP
My verdict for this product – Bang for the Buck

Oh ok, Just try it when you have time.
Reminder though that once you have set everything up, you still need to run the configuration of the router by typing 192.168.1.1 on your internet browser.
There is some installation wizard that you need to run in order to use the router correctly.
The default username and password for the encore wireless router is admin (username) admin (password)
once your in the router’s config, you would need to run the setup wizard. Don’t worry though since it is very userfriendly.
If you ran into any problems then just ask away, I might be able to help.

im using globe broadband with 1 mbps, can’t answer you right now cause im already using the internet directly on my laptop, the pc is inside my brother’s room. so what i usually do i removed the net connection from the pc to transfer it on my laptop and that really sucks. i did used 2 cables when i installed the hardware earlier

you have the internet connection right? Instead of directing your internet connection to your pc, plug it in the WAN Port of the router (the one nearest the antenna, assuming that you are using the encore wireless G single antenna) then from your pc lan port use another lan cable to connect it to your encore wireless router LAN 1 Port.
Your router should have 2 cables already connected to it, one to the internet, one to the pc.
then just set it up by typing 192.168.1.1 (that is the default of encore as far as I know) then just follow the instructions accompanied by the router…
By the way, what internet connection are you using??
Does this solve your problem??
Hope this helps

I bought the router for me to use my laptop’s wireless capability and i knew for a fact that the router must be connected to the net. I dont know what the problem is. FYI I installed the hardware to our pc,of course by doing that it should be connected to an internet. I followed what i’ve read in the manual and i just dont know if its correct or maybe i missed something.

Yup, this router is made for you to connect your laptop to your local network, but if you need an internet connection then you would need to connect your internet connection to the WAN port of this router…
Was that your problem? If you were expecting to be connected to the net with just the router then that is impossible..
If not then can you be more specific on what problems you are experiencing on this router?
Maybe I can help
