Google TV has just been launched, and frankly, Im still quite skeptical as to how this would roll through... I know Google is trying its best to be able to make other ends meet, and this time they would try to do it by fusing the old and the new. I mean, your tv and the internet, thus changing and revolutionizing the way how you watch tv... I might want to try this one out, and no, I do not have a set top box that came from Google which is obviously one of the ways to use Google TV, and I dont even have a HDTV which has Google TV preinstalled with it, and obviously yet again that is the second option that you would need be able to use Google TV... Would that mean I won't be able to try Google TV out? *sigh* oh well... but wait... Fortunately, Google has tied up with Sony and Logitech and that means... tadaa... future products from Sony and Logitech could have the capability to use Google TV! Woot!! I'm very particular when it comes to internet surfing speed, and I know that DNS plays a big role when it comes to optimizing your internet connection speed. Since I am on a sometimes-crappy-sometimes-good internet connection which is the Globe Wireless Broadband for more than a year already, I can testify that I have already made a lot of tweaks here and there just to be able to get the full potential speed my internet connection can give me, and one of those is by using personal DNS Values on my ZTE MF600 modem. Here are the DNS Values that I have already used and what I experienced so far from it: OpenDNS - 208.67.220.220 & 208.67.222.222 - OpenDNS could have been a great Public DNS Server, its just that sometimes their DNS gets so strict that even "innocent" sites (gaming site, social networking sites) and whatnot are oftentimes blocked. PrivateDNS - 4.2.2.1 & 4.2.2.2 - I do not have any idea who owns these one, but so far they have been a great DNS Server Values for me. I also use these DNS Values when Im using my PS3 since without manual tweaking, my PS3 won't let me go online and savor online ...

Finally, after sometime of thinking about what kind of HDTV I should get, I have landed to choose the Samsung 40-inches Full HD Series 6 LCD TV which is not what I have planned to buy in the first place, but nevertheless its still a happy purchase that I have done. I was actually planning for the 40-inch LED TV Series 7 from Samsung as I was expecting it to drop its prices this November, but I was wrong though I know that it had already dropped its prices below 100k PHP, as far as my preferred HDTV Retailer is concerned. By the way, I settled for the Series 6 since it is the highest series the LCD TV from Samsung 40-inchers have. The lowest size Series 7 has is the 46 inches which is already way too big already as far as my preferences are concerned. The total damage to my whole Samsung Home Theater Package was around 94k PHP. The HDTV itself sells around 91k on SM Malls but I got it for only 71K on Sights and Sounds Shangri-la Plaza, great bargain isn't it. Its been around a week already since the official launch of Windows 7, but as far as Windows 7 in Philippines is concerned, the target launch would be a week from now, November 7, 2009. . Luckily I snagged one copy of Windows 7 Ultimate thanks to PC Corner. I was never expecting that they would be able to have a copy of it as early as now. Actually, out of all the computer shops that I have talked to in SM Manila, only PC Corner had that Windows 7 Ultimate and its their only one and only copy that they have got, so lucky! hehe. I asked the saleslady when they had got that copy of Windows 7 and she told me that it was there that same day. So lucky since I just cant wait until November 7, 2009. It cost me 10K PHP for that Retail Copy of Windows 7 Ultimate, though I don't know if it would cost me cheaper on the launch date or not but what Im sure about is that . NTC has finally done something atleast to alleviate the concerns of the people here in the Philippines regarding the "Mysterious Prepaid Load". Well I know that it is not enough. But for real? does it really need to take at least a senator or someone who have powers before the people who should be doing the right thing act? I know that NTC is already aware of this even before Senator Enrile complained, don't be dumb NTC, we mobile phone subscribers know that this problem has already existed for years already, but you had not acted upon this problem even before the early days the complaints come rushing in. Avatar wont be released on Blu Ray 3D this year that what I heard but still it would not stop me from purchasing the Samsung BD-C6900 Blu Ray Player, because once it debuts and is released on 3D Blu Ray, I am quite sure that I am ready to feed that in my soon to be player the Samsung BD-C6900... I was actually playing with my Sony PS3 on the living room when it came into mind about what if I bought a new tv like the new Samsung UNC7000 LED 3d TV that would be suitable for my room and my voracious PS3 gaming lifestyle, what tv would it be? I have recieved a question from 1 visitor regarding the problem about the Image Compression that the Globe Wireless Broadband users are experiencing. There is a quick solution for this image compression problem. All you have to do is to tweak your DNS settings on your ZTE MF600 modem. Firstly though, what causes the image compression on Globe wireless broadband users? Well, one main reason for it was that Globe's Domain Name Servers are all cached up to recycle the imaged that a certain user have visited to be able to conserve bandwidth and loading time. So in other words, you get to experience faster loading pages but in exchange to blurry images, or pixelated images on your browser. Changing your DNS settings on your ZTE Modem somehow solves this. Also do not forget to clear up your cache on your browser tools and settings just to make sure that there are no saved images on your browser. Alternatively, if you do not want to clear up your browsers cache, you can either press: Shift + F5 - Internet Explorer users Ctrl + F5 - Mozilla Firefox users Ctrl + R - Opera Users to be able to refresh the images that have been cached on your browsers.
