Typically, Filipinos are already swimming along with the big and fast waves of internet technology, and no wonder it has changed the lifestyle of so many Filipinos up to some point where some are willing to exchange their sexual life for internet. Last month, Intel sponsored an online survey regarding how "in-demand" their technology is rather than the typical human need. According to the survey results around 46% of women would rather trade in 2 weeks blogging than having intercourse. Around 49% aged 18-34 and 52% aged 35-44 said they would trade their 2 weeks for blogging than having intercourse. It's no wonder though, since blogging has started blooming last 2 years or so, and this year with the technological advancements and dropping of prices on technological gadgets plus the factor that you can go and grab an internet connection on most places nowadays compared 2 years back then, a typical Filipina Maria Clara would rather go online than fulfill one of the essential needs of the human race. There have been a few reviews of the leaked Windows 7 Beta which questions the usability of the Windows 7. In my opinion, one of the biggest questions for the upcoming OS from Microsoft is the compatibility of Windows 7 to previous applications that have existed even before and the early days of Windows XP. I have not been a Windows Vista fan, nor have I used Vista ever. I have had some few experiences though with Vista when some of my friends ask for help with their PC running in the Windows Vista platform. Compatibility, one big thing that made Vista flop. Don't ask me, but at the early days when Vista was still named as Windows Longhorn, I was anticipating on upgrading from it, but I was really disappointed with its incompatibility to many certain applications that it would render most of the applications I use daily, useless. I have a laptop that is specifically made to be ran under Windows Vista, but I ditched it and reinstalled my Windows XP on it, because I am more focused on usability against aesthetics. Its been buzzing around, and these spoofs of the movie Twilight just keeps popping up on the Pinoy blogosphere. It all started with the Takipsilim which was rumored to be a Pinoy remake of the Twilight movie. Since then other posters just kept mushrooming everywhere. If you haven't seen them, here are some of the Photoshopped posters of the Twilight movie from nobody else but the ever tinker-minded Filipinos. . The photoshopped poster that started it all. I have just watched ABS CBN's documentary show 2008 UPLOAD. I don't know but the anchors on that show says that this was a yearly documentary review of what had happened in the year behind us. I can't remember though what their topic was last year, but I was amazed about their episode this year. They have proven kung gaano ka-powerful ang internet ngaun. Specially the blogging aspect that Filipinos are starting to grab on to. Dumarami na ang pinoy bloggers, and more and more are learning their own ways into it. Bloggers are the new media, and blogs? is the free for all stage where you can speak out what's on your mind while being open-minded on what others would or might say back to you. Have been seeing some top notch bloggers recently having this thumbnail beside the result when you search them on google. Examples like Gigaom, Luis Suarez and the like. Go on! try googling them to see what I am talking about. Every blogger knows that Wordpress is very Google friendly, and I think this coming year 2009, more and more bloggers using the wordpress platform would be enjoying these new feature that google showcases. I wonder though when some Pinoy bloggers would get to enjoy this feature, plus at these early times, I think these feature is still in the beta stage though, I mean needs a little more improvement since I know a Pinoy blogger who have had HALF-enjoyed these feature. Japan wants to scrape of their google map street views, they think that the street view is invading their privacy, I have been thinking a lot about that too, currently when you look at google maps, there are already placeholders on some spots on manila's map on google, [ni ultimong carinderia may label na sa google maps.] But, will there come a time that these streetview would also be scraped of when it comes to our country? US has already been using the streetview on its various states already, would Philippines follow suit? I think so, since online consciousness is not that tight here in our country. Actually some pinoy internet users are even happy to see their streets, even the top view of their homes from the net and some were even so happy labelling every house or establishment that they know of, what more if they would be able to see their place on street view level. I have watched some of the videos of google portraying how powerful they could be in the future, that even privacy in your own home would be crossed. The traditional greeting cards have always been there. Then the advent of electronic greeting cards arrived when internet was starting to boom. Good thing about those e-cards was that it can be personalized. Usong uso ito nuong panahon na ang price ng internet sa shops is 30 to 50 pesos an hour. Then from what I have observed, it dwindled down. As far as I can remember, the last time that I was able to receive such kind of greeting card was around 8 years ago or so. Then these new way of sending greeting cards arrived. Since marami na ang nag-you youtube, then why not use youtube to its fullest by being able to send greeting cards through the use of personalized videos. Its customizable, with various themes and animations to include from, plus of course, its free. I think these feature from youtube was implemented last holiday season, I am just not sure though if it would be like that again, available lang kapag malapit na ang pasko. But still I think these would still be a hit since around a million of these greeting cards were sent out last year. Sana lang, it would last for as long as youtube is alive, ...

Back then I never knew that these tools exist. So what I always do when checking how long a blog is, is to look at its archives and check for the oldest entry on their blogs. That was how I check for the age of a particular blog page. But I was having some limitations with my method since not all blogs show their archive pages, and not all sites are blogs. Even a whois cant help you since whois only shows the duration a domain name's availability and not the time since it was first registered. After some googling, the big G pointed me to five different tools that can help me determine a domain name's page. They may not be accurate against each other's results but somehow it may give you an idea of how old a domain name is. Recently a Filipina student from a prominent University had a field trip and met a tribe of indigenous Filipino Aetas. She made some nasty remarks through her facebook page only for her friends to see about our Filipino indigents. Things and remarks that were deemed funny for people like her but were deemed racist, offending and something...something so opposite from what her outer complexion looks like. But she did not keep in her mind that sometimes a joke may be funny to you but not to me or others, and because of that one of her friends leaked out a screenshot of what she told about the respected Filipino indigents here in our country. Still, no matter what she did, the real "her" came out, shamelessly. No matter what she did, she is still on the latter side of story. She may be a CLOWN for her friends but still she became an illiterate self-centered SOB.
