There have been a few reviews of the leaked Windows 7 Beta which questions the usability of the Windows 7. In my opinion, one of the biggest questions for the upcoming OS from Microsoft is the compatibility of Windows 7 to previous applications that have existed even before and the early days of Windows XP. I have not been a Windows Vista fan, nor have I used Vista ever. I have had some few experiences though with Vista when some of my friends ask for help with their PC running in the Windows Vista platform. Compatibility, one big thing that made Vista flop. Don't ask me, but at the early days when Vista was still named as Windows Longhorn, I was anticipating on upgrading from it, but I was really disappointed with its incompatibility to many certain applications that it would render most of the applications I use daily, useless. I have a laptop that is specifically made to be ran under Windows Vista, but I ditched it and reinstalled my Windows XP on it, because I am more focused on usability against aesthetics. We know many are aiming for the Sony Vaio laptop that is being given away by Nuffnang Philippines but in order to be qualified, one must make a blog post about their experience last December 5-7 regarding the Sony Expo 2008 event. But because of the glamorous prize, the contest was prone to abuse. A fellow blogger was also aware of this. I never knew that I would be back so soon, the last time that I was at SMX Convention was  just around 8 months back when I was taking my oath as a Nurse. Then came December 2008, the rave on Sony products was on, but I was not expecting to be a part of it. You wont get caught I promise. It's a new controversial game that can be played on you iPhone or your iTouch and its free. So, what do you do in this game? You buy drugs at a low price and sell it high. Simple right? Ok, so what is the punchline? You would be drug dealing with other druglords players. How? Well online. So?.. The thing is, it is a location based game, so you would have to go to certain places to do some drug dealing business. You would be using the wifi connectivity of your iPhone or iTouch to locate potential buyers and sellers. So what's the goal? Well, you start as a small time drug pusher and pave your way to become a druglord without really becoming a druglord. I am not promoting you to advocate drug dealing and become a druglord or a drug dealer, but at least you would feel what its like without developing drug addiction to yourself or others or you won't get charged for drug abuse or any substance abuse for that matter. There is a new kid in town, and yeah anti-virus researchers are on the run against the makers of this virus which has started to run rampant on Facebook. Facebook spokesperson just said that the virus known as koobface has just infected a very small percentage of users on facebook. Yeah, of course it is because its just starting to propagate on other unexpecting users that doesn't know anything about this. Koobface spreads thru notes by someone whose computer was infected with that virus, with a common header subject like "You look just awesome in this new movie..." wherein when clicked will redirect a user to a page where the individual will be informed about a new update for Adobe's flash player and would be asked to download a program masked as an update. What's that again!? I was astounded when I read it, and I guessed it right, it is a "what if" game sequel if ever Activision would produce another Guitar Hero Series. I have mentioned from my Sony entry post that I was planning to buy a guitar for my PS2, but with this game around, my guitar controller would be useless since this game uses a different kind of controller named as of course The Vagina Hero controller. If this what if game would be available, well the concept would still be the same, but a little bit more complicated. It still is a music - rhythm game with a little bit of twist. I visited a Youtube a few days ago and was surprised that the default size of the video on youtube is now 16:9 or the widescreen view. I thought my browser was going looney again and is displaying funny objects again, but I tried to refresh the page only to find out that the widescreen view is now the default size of Youtube videos. Youtube changed it's default video player format to 960 pixels wide and users now need to make sure that they would upload high definition videos using the MPEG4 format, MP3 Audio, a video resolution of at least 480×360, and a frame rate of 24fps or higher. Though you can still embed videos on its used-to-be size, Youtube now recommends videos to be uploaded using the widescreen format. Youtube is not the first to implement this kind of video size but they were just following suit to other video sites on the worldwide web. Terrorism has rocked the The Taj Mahal Hotel and the Oberoi Hotel at Mumbai, India, the financial capital of the said country. Death toll has rocketed to more than a hundred and counting and around 314 and counting were wounded. We have fellow Filipinos who are working in the said hotels and as of now their lives were at stake. Lets just hope that our fellow Filipinos who were working there are safe. I know its been a while but I haven't got to watch Hell Girl. I was just so curious about Hell Girl because of the infamous Hotline to hell or the Jigoku Shoujo wherein Enma Ai, the lead character in the story does her job as a hell girl. How it works? Well in the story, characters accesses a website that only opens at 00:00 or exactly at midnight, if you are successful, you will be asked of the name of the person wherein that person's soul would be sent to hell. In return, your soul will also be sent to hell when you die. Because of this, a couple of sites mushroomed on the internet, replicating the said website, wherein it is just available at midnight and also asks for the name of the person that you want to have revenge on. A similar site with this kind of style is Hotel 626 wherein it is only accessible at 6pm to 6am, though you can still manipulate it so you would be able to access it anytime that you want.
