I have just watched ABS CBN’s documentary show 2008 UPLOAD. I don’t know but the anchors on that show says that this was a yearly documentary review of what had happened in the year behind us. I can’t remember though what their topic was last year, but I was amazed about their episode this year.
They have proven kung gaano ka-powerful ang internet ngaun. Specially the blogging aspect that Filipinos are starting to grab on to. Dumarami na ang pinoy bloggers, and more and more are learning their own ways into it.
Bloggers are the new media, and blogs? is the free for all stage where you can speak out what’s on your mind while being open-minded on what others would or might say back to you.
I know that I am a newbie in this, since wala pa 6 months yung blog ko but this is the first time that I knew that Philippines is the blogging capital in Asia. I was wondering though when will Philippines be the blogging capital of the world? hmmm…
I agree dun sa sinabi nung isa nilang ininterview sa show nila, I forgot his name but this is what he said “We live in a 3rd world country with 1st world amenities.”
Actually its true, more teenagers nowadays are into social networking sites life Friendster, Myspace and whatnot, naaalala ko nung 1st year hs ako (1998) , ako lang ang mahilig sa internet sa classroom namin, the rest are on the hype on 5110 nokia cellphones that costs as much as 15k PHP, ako lang ang may email address that time sa amin.
Furthermore in the show, they showcased how blogosphere revlutionized the flow of information dissemination, not just blogs, even video uploading sites specially Youtube, anjan lahat, from political controversies to political spoofs, showbiz and sports debates, from rags to riches such as how Charice Pempengco and Arnel Pineda got discovered and personal videos that people just want to share.
As the conclusion, the show somehow gave some hints on what would be a possible hot topic that would conquer the pinoy blogosphere these year 2009, Charice is still on the list, plus I forgot what they call it, but its the pinoy free runners who do some stunts on the streets or something like that.
Simply put, the year 2009 would be a very promising year for bloggers and soon to be bloggers, and the Filipino blogging community would grow much more larger than it is today.
